Krakatoa
I won’t sit back and recite this
I’m too busy molding souvenirs out of sand
Crafting bodies from spare parts
I need exotic companions
Blame the trade winds or the sea gulls
Or the salt in every pore (and I’ve got a few)
Find the absentee landlord
Tell him look in his rearview
Fire breather, holy diver,
Manly forehead…No, you’ve got it all wrong again
That’s the one in the next cave
Always bumping Eminem
See, I’m different: I’ve got stencils
I’ve got zydeco and Mad Hatter Tarot Cards™
Ask me anything……Aunt Grace?
Heart attack in the backyard.
My bravado knows no boundaries
It’s the protein in the sea turtles. And, besides,
Someone’s got to bring order
In between all these landslides
Here comes silence, head for high ground
Krakatoa — now that everyone’s noticed me
I want all this back in its red crevasse
Spare the tiki huts and the naked villagers.
