Maggie of the Four Winds
She has eyes of the breeze and the tides
The stars dim in anticipation
How I wish she were mine
But she’s far too divine
Maggie of the four winds
There are places the heart should not go
Despite its best intention
I could drown in her gaze
In that soft burning haze
Maggie of the four winds
I know it’s an errand for fools
It’s a useless charade
But I’d die for her in a duel
And find her face in my parade
I wish I could forget she is here
It would help my situation
She is wholly sublime
And I ache all the time
For Maggie of the four winds
How I wish she were mine
But she’s far too divine
